In the South region of our country, CCX also continues to sow the Good News. Kirill Plado’s team is very motivated and set for a good result. The teams in Odessa and Mykolaiv have been working for a long time to develop the chapters in these two cities. This university year they brought together a team of twenty volunteers from both cities. The staff workers believe that developing collaboration with volunteers and churches is key to reaching more students. That is why some of their results can already be seen. They organized two Freshers’ Weeks in Mykolaiv and Odessa, and gathered about eighty contacts for further communication and networking, which in the future will increase the number of actively involved students.
Work has been done to restore the chapter at the Medical University. This chapter has quite a long history and the team is proud to have restored the tradition of Bible study and active evangelism among medical students. The Odessa and Mykolaiv planters also managed to launch a student club "Influence", where students from different universities can have spiritual support, find answers to questions, develop spiritually and intellectually, and find Christian friends. This club has already gained some popularity and twenty people came to the first meeting this year. Everyone was satisfied and wanted to attend regularly. The opening of the same club in Mykolaiv is planned for November.
