One of CCX’s values is growing up in missionary calling of Jesus Christ not only locally but outside the country too. American missionaries’ times are over and students and staff members have been actively involved in missions to the former USSR countries. At the end of August a group of 2 staff members, 2 students and one CCX intern participated in the evangelism project of Georgian CCX. Ukrainian team has shared its Mission week and camps experience. Together they held a student camp of 40 students (majority - non-Christian). The Ukrainians held small groups, helped with the program and arrangements, hosted evenings. At the end of the camp one of the students turned to God and a lot of others joined Georgian local CCX movements.
This is the second year when the Ukrainian students take part in missionary trips to Georgia. Students witness that such projects impact them greatly, give new perspectives and challenges to stay whole and strong as a Christian. These projects grow a missionary heart. For instance, last year’s trip to Georgia left such a powerful impact on our student, Karina, that she decided to become CCX missionary to one of the former USSR country after graduation.
We believe these projects empower both countries. We are thankful for everyone who supported the students financially, giving them the opportunity to become a part of this.
